Hawley Deed Activity Totals 12 in Late Summer, Most Prices Undisclosed

Twelve property deeds were recorded in Hawley between July 24 and Aug. 22, according to Franklin County Registry of Deeds records, but only two disclosed a sale price. The disclosed range ran from $120,000 for 40 W Hill Road, sold Aug. 12, to $350,000 for 90 West Hawley Road, sold Aug. 10 to Max A. Helmetag, the period's highest-priced transaction. West Hawley Road had the most recorded activity, with four deeds. Several other transfers appear to be family, trust or tax-title conveyances rather than open-market sales. With price data available for only two of 12 transactions, the record offers limited insight into overall market tone this period.
