Hawley Records Six Property Transfers as Sale Prices Lag

Six properties changed hands in Hawley between Aug. 28 and Sept. 26, but only one sale price has reached the Franklin County Registry of Deeds so far: $99,500 for 26 East Road, sold Sept. 15 by Michael Pida to Jodi Shaw. The other five transfers, including two on Middle Road, do not yet show recorded prices, which typically appear within about a week. Two sales had a bank or credit union as seller (PeoplesBank, UMassFive) and two originated from family trusts. With pricing available for only one of six deeds, the data does not yet support a read on overall market tone.
